With consumer demand for “better for you” options at an all-time high and barriers of entry reasonably low, it’s the perfect atmosphere for eager entrepreneurs. Colorado’s progressive food community lends itself as the perfect location to embrace this growing economy. Colorado Food Works sets out to help entrepreneurs achieve success through collaboration.  We welcome all looking to learn, network and share!  Colorado Food Works is a 501c6 not-for-profit.

The Executive Director reports directly to the President and the Board of Directors and drives the operational and administrative aspects of the organization.

The Candidate Will:

  • Manage daily/weekly/monthly operations in support of various board sub-committees: Communications, Membership, Programming, Partnerships and Sponsorships.

  • Coordinate and administer monthly board and executive board meetings.

  • Participate in identifying and tracking annual and monthly goals.

  • Sustain a strong sense of accountability amongst the board members and committees while tracking and reporting progress on key initiatives, events, and goals.

  • Initiate and implement on-going process improvement in all areas of the board’s activities.

  • Attend at least 10 of the monthly networking events representing CFW in a positive manner.

  • Oversee member communications including email and coordinate monthly newsletters.

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Strong alignment with the mission and values of the organization

  • Exceptional organizational skills to streamline and strengthen operation of the board, membership, and events

  • Remarkable interpersonal skills to manage tight relationships with the all-volunteer board, each sponsor and paying members

Occasional local travel required.

Compensation range: $500/Month as a 1099 contractor
